Longtime RAA Member, Secretary and Program Chairperson: Joyce Ilene (Crouch) Veazey, 75, passed away on April 29, 2020. An online Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
Joyce grew up in the Kansas City area. She was a 1962 graduate from Shawnee Mission North. Her careers included Bank Teller, a child care business and Medical Assistant. Joyce loved horses and painting. She worked tirelessly to encourage other artists and a prayer Group she started with friends in 1968 is still together.
Joyce was also a member of Summit Art. She displayed in the Raytown and Lee’s Summit communities as well as other local art shows.
Our RAA members join her husband of 46 years, David Veazey, in mourning the loss of this great lady and friend of ours.
RAA annual yard sale to benefit our scholarship fund will be held Thursday June 18th & Friday June 19th.

For 54 years the RAA has been promoting the visual arts in the City of Raytown for the enjoyment of our members and the community.
Lori Lee Triplett is an award winning textile artist who will teach how to dye silk scarves on Saturday July 18th 12noon to 4pm. Costs for this workshop is $35 dollars with all materials being furnished for the creation of 2 silk scarves. The enrollment deadline is June 26th.
