Dawn Thomas

Dawn Thomas is a retired High School Art teacher who has been painting for over 50 years in Watercolor.  Since retirement in 2009 her focus is to have paintings juried into major Watercolor shows. She has also won many awards locally.  She holds “signature ” status in both the Alabama and the Red River Watercolor societies and is a member of 7 more State Watercolor Societies including Missouri and Kansas.
“My subjects are primarily floral and landscape. I visit New Mexico every year and often those southwestern subjects, such as pottery, become a new series.
Locally, Ms. Thomas is a member of the Lee’s Summit Art Group and Images Gallery in Overland Park, Ks. She is President of RAA.
Ms. Thomas takes commissioned work and also works in Acrylic and collage.
